ISO 14001 Services

ISO 14001: 2004 is an environmental management standard. This ISO 14001 standard was officially published on November 15, 2004.  The purpose of this standard is to help organizations establish an Environmental Management System (EMS) to help:

- protect the environment,

- to prevent pollution, and

- improve overall environmental performance

According to ISO 14001 you only have to manage what you can control.  If you manage the environmental aspects that you control you’ll be going a long way toward helping to protect the environment.  The basic ISO 14001 model helps make the environmental management system a bit more understandable:

If you’d like to justify ISO 14001 for your company, call us and we’ll give you a few tips; in the interim here’s a whitepaper that might give you some ideas.

Introduction to ISO 14001

ISO 13485 Services

ISO 13485 (medical device standard) builds on ISO 9001 compliance.  ISO 13485 requires significantly more documented procedures, documentation requirements, and records.

There are two concepts in ISO 9001:2008 that did not carry over to ISO 13485:

  1. - The requirement to measure customer satisfaction.

  2. - The requirement for continuous improvement.

Apparently, the developers of ISO 13485 did not view these requirements as appropriate for the regulated medical industry.  In place of the two concepts listed above the following two concepts are dominant:

  1. - Meeting customer requirements, and

  2. - Maintaining effectiveness of the quality management system.

The information above is just one example of the nuances of ISO 13485. Sound confusing………it’s only confusing if you haven’t been through it at least once?  BlueSkye Track has helped a number of companies through the process and trained their employees as well.

Give us a call -- we’ll help take the confusion out of ISO 13485.

Also, have a look at this whitepaper; it may give you a bit more information:
